The theatre hall is one of the best in Serbia and can host 560 visitors. The Theatre is situated in the town centre, on the large town square. The contest of the most successful theatre performances from Serbia and Montenegro is held at its stage every year, as a part of the Yugoslav Theatre Festival. The gallery covers the exhibition space of 185 m2, with modern illumination and display equipment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The activities of the gallery include a very important international event &#8211; The International graphic Biennial &#8221;&#8217;Dry point&#8221;, of which the gallery is an initiator, founder and organiser. Within the Krakov graphic Triennial it has been classified among the 22 prestigious events in the world and it is represented at the exhibition of Intergraph within the Triennial. The rooms of the Archives are on the ground floor of the right wing of the City Hall of Uzice.<\/p>\n<p>The 845 funds of the Archives keep 4125 meters of archived material. The oldest document dates from 1801. The documents are mostly written in Serbian language, but there are also documents in Turkish, Greek, German and French language. The most significant funds are those of the governing administrative districts dating from XIX century, then the fund of The Guilds Association of U\u017eice and the administrative district of Uzice (1840-1950), the First Stock Wavering Workshop (1898-1945), the collection of the church register books, family and personal funds; collections: memoirs, varia, cartographic collection, posters, matrix of the stamps and seals, photographs and the card catalogue of fallen victims 1941-1945.<\/p>\n<p>Archives library consists of about 15.000 titles (books, brochures, newspapers, magazines) from the fields of History, laws, philosophy, ethnology philology etc.<\/p>\n<p>The archive is currently working on publishing its own and also the material from other archives considering the history of U\u017eice region. Up to now 50 books have been published and 30 copies of the magazine &#8220;Historical Heritage&#8221;. In cooperation with the National Museum from U\u017eice it publishes the annual publication Uzicki Zbornik (Collections from Uzice). In 1857, Readers Club had 100 members, 200 books and every daily newspapers issued in the Principality of Serbia.
