It belongs to the group of mountain Zlatibor villages of dispersed Old-Vlach type, in which houses are scattered on the hills and mountain slopes. The remains of early settlements are represented in burial mounds at the bottom of \u0160argan and Karasalija, and the remains of the old stone-paved road across \u0160argan, graves and the inscription on one monument are of Roman culture.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row use_custom_gutter=&#8221;on&#8221; gutter_width=&#8221;2&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; max_width=&#8221;1800px&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.22.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;a9989c34-2005-43a1-b681-943231a6e2fb&#8221; custom_padding=&#8221;20px||20px||true|false&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Because of its geographical position, Mokra Gora had to pay its tributes to the Turks and Argonauts and Germans respectively. It undergone migrations, uprisings, arsons, captures and attacks of brigands. Being at the very border with watchtowers, with quarantine, Mokra Gora has been a guard of the frontier for a long time. Thanks to \u0160argan, across which for many centuries the important roads were routed between Serbia and Bosnia, the most important roads went through Mokra Gora, which emphasized the geographical significance of this village.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The positive geographical position of Mokra Gora showed best when the narrow-gage railroad connecting Belgrade \u2013 \u010ca\u010dak \u2013 U\u017eice \u2013 Vi\u0161egrad &#8211; Sarajevo was opened, passing through Mokra Gora. After the railroad stopped to be used, the road has been asphalted and the road transport of goods and people took its place in both directions- through U\u017eice, far from Mokra Gora about 45 km, and Vi\u0161egrad, which is 15 km far.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The highway Belgrade &#8211; Sarajevo passes through Mokra Gora, which enables connecting of Mokra Gora as a tourist resource well. There are several buses of public conveyance from U\u017eice daily, and there are numerous other busses routes passing through Mokra Gora, because the bus touring to Vi\u0161egrad and Bosnia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Turisti\u010dko geografski polo\u017eaj Mokre Gore najpovoljniji je u odnosu na afirmisane turisti\u010dke centre, koji se nalaze u njenoj neposrednoj blizini: Zlatibor, Tara, Peru\u0107ac.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the session of the General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in Madrid in 2021, Mokra Gora was declared one of the best tourist villages in the world.
